Davis is a co-founder and Executive Director at African STEM Education Initiative (ASEI –Uganda). Davis’ work with ASEI involves steering and managing the operations by providing the leadership to all staff, advising the Board of Directors on ASEI activities, overseeing and streamlining daily operations, optimizing financial operations and managing ASEI assets.
While at Gulu University, he led a team of students in an immersion program between Gulu University and University of New South Wales. The program explored the diverse potential applications of the engineering sub-disciplines, including within agriculture, robotics and mining demonstrating technical solutions for smart agriculture through visits to innovative Australian primary producers. Students also participated in a hackathon in collaboration with the New South Wales government supported TechConnect project, looking at issues such as soil monitoring and remote sensing. On campus, students completed intensive design thinking workshops and learnt to code and build mini segways, among many other activities.
He graduated with an Honor’s Degree in Agri-entrepreneurship and Communications Management from Gulu University where he took leadership roles as International Services Director at Rotaract Club of Gulu University between 2019-20, Chairperson Games Union, General Secretary United Nations Association of Uganda, Gulu chapter between 2018-19, Equipment secretary, Games Union, General Secretary Nature Uganda Northern Branch and Head of Marketing at BLISS drinks company between 2017-18. Davis is an entrepreneur who owns several small businesses in Gulu city .
